We are able to be patient centered rather than protocol led which we hope leads to a bespoke, personalised experience. We strive to deliver evidence based medicine, guided by national frameworks with rapid access to investigations, specialist referrals and, ultimately, solutions.
We offer ‘on the day’ appointments but also the ability to book in advance, allowing you to secure your chosen time slot via our online booking platform. Our opening times will partly be dictated by levels of patient need on any given day and we hope this will allow us to provide a fully flexible service that meets the needs of our patients.
In order to provide continuity of care we would ideally like you to request a medical summary of your NHS record for us, this does not have to reach us before your appointment but it would be great to have saved to your record going forward. You can use the form linked here to do that.
Dr Justin is also a GP partner at Underwood Surgery in Cheltenham and that means that he is not legally permitted to see anyone who is registered as an NHS patient at Underwood. This is due to regulations set out in the NHS (GMS Contracts) Regulations 2015 and is designed to avoid any conflict of interest arising. Any Underwood patients are more than welcome to book with Dr Laura.
We offer different length appointments to meet your specific needs:
30 minutes (£125)
Our standard appointment is 30 minutes which usually allows for a thorough exploration of a problem, targeted examination if required and a comprehensive plan to be agreed. Often it is possible for blood tests and other investigations to be completed there and then to avoid the need for repeat visits. We feel this length of appointment is optimal for most scenarios in order to experience a relaxed, unhurried and truly personalised consultation. We would recommend this length of appointment to all new patients and for most routine problems.
15 minutes (£70)
These shorter appointments are the same length as those offered by most NHS practices. They are usually adequate for a single, simple, acute issue such as a suspected urinary tract infection or an infected ingrowing toenail but for anything more complex requiring physical examination (e.g. a cough) they are not usually long enough. They can be a useful time slot for follow-up appointments, e.g. after starting a new medication or to discuss test results. We offer a limited number of these appointments each day.
45-60 minutes (£195 - 250)
You are welcome to book any length of appointment you choose depending on how much you need to discuss with us. The longer the appointment, the more time we will have to fully explore your concerns.
